The criuse M42/2 started and ended in Lisboa, Portugal. It took altogether 4 weeks, and we investigated during this time two stations in the North Atlantic, called BENGAL and BIOTRANS. The main objective of this cruise was the investigation of the geochemical processes in the sediment and the fluxes of dissolved chemical species between sediment and bottom water, espeacially oxygen. Moreover water column processes have been investigated during this cruise.
